Morning Folks 12 31 05 My year in Retrospect

Here is a year in pictures. There were wonderful times that I don't have preserved in photos, but this is a representation of a wonderful year in my personal life. I know there were hard times for many others, but for me, 2005 just got better as it unfolded.

It started out very snowy and as it turned out, it just kept snowing and snowing......

In February my friend Kathy had her triplets WAY too early. I never prayed so hard for anything. But they are now almost a year old and are very cute and fat and although they still have some challenges, Penny, Max and Roman are doing well and their parents are so happy!

Ed sent me beautiful roses for Valentine's Day.

I don't have many pictures of the spring, really, so I threw in one from the year before when Kathy and I went to Daffodill Days on Nantucket. Daffy Girls is what I call this picture.

In May on our way to Sarasota, we spent some time with Arabella and Zeppelin back when there were only 2 grandchildren!

And soon there were 3 when along came Indigo in July.

In August, Ed bought the trailer and we had a wonderful vacation on the Cape, as usual. We do love the Cape. It is in his blood and my heart!

In September I had to go to Nashville for work (poor me) and met Ed there. We stayed at the Opryland Hotel. It was fabulous.

My friend of 50+ years, Sue, came home for a visit in October, I think it was. We always have a wonderful time together. I really look forward to our reunions. We are planning a girl's weekend some time in the future. I can't wait!

October was Gloria's birthday. We met Madelyn Jean, her great granddaughter. Gloria is my second mother and I resolve to see her more often in 2006.

In early November Ed came up for a Pat's game with Steve. Although that was the highlight of his visit, I did get to see him when we spent some time with his 'adopted' mother, Mary in Dennisport.

People know what goes on in my kitchen so we always have Thanksgiving at either Cindy's in Connecticut or KAthy's in Kissimmee. This year we went to Florida and had a real nice visit. There weren't any pictures of Kathy and I that either of us want published, so I chose this one of Ed and his son and nieces.

I always look forward to the dinner party at Kitty and Rick's each year. The food is divine but the company is even better. Here they are around the table and Kitty and Rick present the main course.

And of course to top off the year, we had a wonderful family gathering for Christmas.

So tonight, when you ring out the old and ring in the new, I hope you have as many wonderful memories and blessings to look back on.

And may 2006 be healthy, happy and wonderful for us all.

Love,

Suz

Morning Folks 12 28 05 Pictures From Xmas

It is hard to believe but this is the first time all 8 cousins have been together in a decade. Once so close and in each other's lives so frequently, now so rare are these visits. This was truly a Christmas gift for them and for me.

This is Erik, Corinna's husband and their son Skylar. The dog is Charlie. Lexie, Adam's girlfriend is in the foreground.

Angie and Skylar getting to know each other.

Gabe was such a sight for sore eyes. 10 years I think since I saw him last. I have missed him. I couldn't stop hugging him! He hasn't changed a bit. Madelyn is such a delight. I am so happy they have each other.
